Starting something new

I can't believe that I did it! I signed up for the Masters Level I hand knitting course. I am so excited and just had to write about it. I know it will be a lot of work but so much fun to see how well I really can be. I'm hoping to use this blog to keep me on track to finish Level I within the years time. I'm doing totally for me. Empty nest not empty hands or head!!! (lol)

It has been sooooo long and LooLoo has a friend

It has been forever since I blogged and I am sorry. I guess I'm just not good at communicating my thoughts on paper ...well on computer. So much has happened that it would be boring to catch you all up but here is a quick summary.
LooLoo went to Jungle Jims, Ikea, and Yarn and Fabrications (LYS) and she meant someone or somesheep.. Blackie BaBa is his name and he is very handsome and she is very sheepish with him. They like to cuddle in my yarn basket and even talk about someday tying the knot and having little BaBa's. Speaking of which my little BaBa is getting married in June and we are so happy for the new addition to the family...she is great and she makes him very very happy...what more could a mom and dad want!!! So our spinning has not been on the wheel lately just in our lives as we prepare for the union of two wonderful people. Thanks for being so patience with us it seems that Love is in the air......

LooLoo goes shopping

Today is the day that we get organized and find the storage we need for all the fiber that LooLoo and I are collecting. This is a large feat. Mounds of fluffy fiber floating forever...and ever...and...you get the idea. LooLoo says just stuff it in a bag and hide it under the bed in hopes that my sweetie won't think I'm out of control. Most of it has been free... yes free. So I think it is OK for me to find proper storage for our new adventure. After all we all have to pack a bag when we go on a journey. So off we go to find the right luggage. We will let you know how it goes. This is the adventure This is the journey.
LooLoo says baaa...baaa blessings until later.

First Fiber Festival

This was my first fiber festival. I was so excited!!! The fiber, the fleece, the yarn, the animals..... LooLoo (my lamb mascot) was on board, my sweetie hubby had agreed to come along for the ride, the sun was shining and all was right with the world, or so I thought...... My expectations were high, my rewards were not. I'm a very positive person so I will speak of the high points first....Great people! Beautiful day!!! The low points.... not a silk, soy or bamboo fiber to be found. I've said enough. But we will try again...and again... and again.
This is the adventure, this is the journey!!!
LooLoo says baaaa...baaaa for now.
